An article in the Bayonet announced that today at 3:30 PM there will be a groundbreaking ceremony out at Harmony Church for the Armor School.
The Armor School and Center will relocate from Fort Knox to Fort Benning by 2011.
Construction projects planned for Fort Benning will take 10 years and cost over $3 Billion.
The planning phase is almost completed and construction is beginning.
You can see the tents set up for the groundbreaking just off Hwy 520, about a half mile south of the water tower.
